An auditable publication standard

Nothing publishes on confidence alone.

A solution becomes public after the calculation is reproduced, a proportionate independent check agrees, the official answer letter matches, and the rights guard clears the finished output.

Current publication record

160 of 160 submitted records passed

This rate covers completed records submitted to the gate; unprocessed questions are not counted. The published set currently contains zero unresolved disagreements with an official answer key. Any future mismatch stays out of publication until the calculation or source record is corrected and the full gate passes again.

The common pipeline

Four useful checks

The same data record feeds the free page and study products, preventing a corrected web solution from drifting away from its PDF edition.

  1. Intake and reference

Official PDFs are hashed and indexed by exam and number. Protected question wording stays private while permission is not granted.

  2. Independent solution

The reasoning is written from scratch in four visible stages: Setup, Model, Compute, and Answer.

  3. Independent check and official key

A second calculation or small numerical spot check must agree, and the result must select the official answer letter.

  4. Original practice and rights check

A newly written variant is checked once, and finished HTML and PDFs are screened for prohibited source-text overlap.

Exam-specific gates

Different mathematics, different checks

The check should catch likely mistakes without spending more effort on auditing than on useful explanation.

Probability (P)

Calculation + spot check + key

Closed-form work is checked with a second implementation, direct sum, or compact numerical evaluation aimed at the likely error.

Financial Mathematics (FM)

Formula + cash-flow spot check + key

Closed-form formulas are cross-checked against explicit cash-flow vectors or an independent root solver. A calculator sequence is included only when it helps the learner reproduce the answer.

What “verified” does—and does not—mean

A visible computational claim

“Verified” means the recorded calculation paths and official answer letter agree under this published gate. It does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by the Society of Actuaries.
